General Production Worker
This role involves working in small teams to operate press machines that produce parts in a fast-paced production environment. You will rotate through a variety of tasks, including machine operation, product inspection, and preparing finished items for shipment on either 1st or 2nd shift. This position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.
Responsibilities- Operate press machines in a small team setting to manufacture parts according to production requirements.
- Rotate through various production tasks as assigned by the supervisor or team lead to support overall workflow.
- Inspect parts as they come out of the machine to ensure they meet quality standards and identify any defects.
- Stack finished products safely and efficiently to prepare them for packaging and shipping.
- Follow all safety procedures while working around large presses and production equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a smooth, continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including managing materials and finished goods.
- Adapt to working at different presses as needed, depending on the daily work order.
- Perform general labor duties related to production, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
- Experience or strong aptitude in machine operation within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for a 12-hour shift.
- Willingness to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, stacking, and moving materials.
- Attention to detail for inspecting parts and identifying defects or quality issues.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and follow direction from supervisors and team leads.
- Comfort working in a physically demanding environment where you may get dirty, wet, and sweaty.
Skills & Qualifications
- No formal education requirements for this role.
- No certifications required to be considered.
- Previous experience in production, general labor, or inspection work is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts and adapt to changing production needs.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winona, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr.
