CNC Machinist - Tool and Die

Peerless Chain is seeking a skilled Machinist/Tool & Die professional to support our Manufacturing & Production team. In this on-site role, you will set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC equipment to build, repair, and optimize precision tooling and dies used in our chain and traction product lines. You will read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, perform detailed inspections, and partner with production and engineering to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce precision tools and dies for chain manufacturing.
• Build, fit, and repair tooling, fixtures, and dies to support production quality and uptime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to meet tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and document results to quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to resolve tooling issues and improve processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work area.
• Support continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions on tooling-related problems.
