Winona, MN - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

The Watkins Company is looking for a talented Marketing Assistant. As a Marketing Assistant, you will support the Consumer Engagement Team by assisting with the day-to-day support of Consumer, Shopper, and Business-to-Business Marketing tactics and initiatives.

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the project management, execution, and approval process of assigned marketing projects and platforms with Internal and External Partners including email marketing, sample programs, etc.
  • Manage content updates and ongoing maintenance of owned websites in coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Oversee and execute the social media community management process for all owned social media channels.
  • Track all key marketing metrics (e.g., impressions, engagement rate, email campaign, open rate, etc.) and prepare ad hoc reports that clearly communicate the results of marketing tactics, projects, and key initiatives.
  • Manage the invoice process for the Consumer Engagement Team, including invoice accuracy verification and entry into Net Suite.
  • Support the development and distribution of brand and product-focused lifestyle content with Internal and External Partners.
  • Support Winona based internal and external marketing initiatives including the Watkins Museum & Store, community events, etc.
Qualifications
  • Minimum six (6) months experience working in a marketing related position or internship.
  • Past experience working with detailed project management plans.
  • Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently on projects in a professional setting.
  • Systems experience with Canva or Photoshop – preferred.
  • Experience with basic marketing analytics or reporting tools - preferred
