Summary
:
Performs ICT and functional Go/No Go testing on systems assemblies, subassemblies, printed circuit boards and products using test equipment and various test instruments and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up test equipment; understands the test and assembly processes for each type of board or systems/subassembly tested
  • Operates test equipment requiring basic computer skills and knowledge of test programs to record and enter failure parameters into the Quality Management System (PFS)
  • Identifies component types and reads component values or integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, etc.
  • Identifies workmanship and material defects by sight or with appropriate devices and applies defect tags per Quality Assurance procedures
  • Follows step‑by‑step procedures while performing duties such as frequency and/or voltage adjustment and observes meter readings to determine if items meet minimum requirements
  • Maintains records of units tested, accepted, or rejected, utilizing statistical process control charts
  • Applies basic to intermediate knowledge of applicable specifications and product standards to electrical testing
  • All employees are responsible for the quality of their work to ensure BEI meets or exceeds customer satisfaction
  • Independently configure and operate test equipment and interpret basic test results
  • Relate results to the specific PCD area to inspect for manufacturing defects at a superior level
  • Suggest improvements to test procedures and equipment
  • Lead and mentor other Test Operators
Other information
  • High School Diploma or GED; 4+ years of advanced electronic testing (e.g., FCT/HASS)
  • Ability to use hand tools and general test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.) when working with electronic components
  • Basic knowledge of operating DMMs to verify opens, shorts, resistance, and diode checks
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, assembly prints, procedures, specifications and other documentation for electronic assemblies
  • Comply with BEI quality assurance policies and IPC standards; develop a strong quality orientation
  • Willingness to train on new equipment and cross-train into other site operations as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills; high attention to detail
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company
  • Support a 24/7 global business operation as required; ability to work overtime
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

Compensation and benefits
:
Compensation range: $17.62 to $26.44 USD per hour. Benefits include a comprehensive package with a Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, based on scheduled hours.
