Overview

Compensation: $75K- $100K base + commission

Job Type: Direct Hire

Looking to utilize your sales expertise? Hiring a Sales Business Development Manager for a wholesale building materials company located in Winona, MN. This person is expected to build relationships with contracts in the local market. The role pays been $75K-$100K with a commission structure. Read below for more information.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop prospects and establishes new business
  • Develop customer accounts by maximizing sales and profitability
  • Establish sale pricing based on legitimate market factors such as order size, account volume, established terms, etc.
  • Present estimates/proposals to new and existing customers and follow up to close sale
  • Conduct business in customers’ preferred venue (customer’s office, jobsite, etc.)
  • Strictly adheres to established job set-up and credit approval practices
  • Monitor customer compliance with Company credit policies
  • Work with customers and staff regarding credit issues and collection efforts
  • Provide outstanding customer service to customers and prospects
  • Participate in community service clubs and builder associations
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and building practices
  • Maintain up to date selling skills and awareness of market conditions
  • Maintain a professional businesslike appearance
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED). Post-secondary education in construction/structural design preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in sales in the construction and/or building materials industry
  • Strong mathematical skills including construction math and pricing/gross margin calculations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with customers, co-workers and supervisors
  • Computer and technology skills (MS Office products and basic computer operations)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
