Job Overview
WHV, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced Journeyman-level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for professionals with strong commercial HVAC knowledge, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to high-quality service and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems.
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC and control systems.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control issues.
* Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Communicate clearly with customers regarding service performed and recommended solutions.
* Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
* Install and service building automation systems.
* Follow all safety regulations, building codes, and company procedures.
* Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
* Journeyman HVAC license (Iowa or ability to obtain reciprocity).
* Strong blueprint-reading skills and experience with a wide variety of commercial HVAC and control systems.
* Background in electrical systems and wiring diagrams required.
* Positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer-focused mindset.
* EPA, Boiler, and Low Voltage Wiring licenses are beneficial but not required.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
* Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various indoor/outdoor environments.
* Background and/or experience in testing, adjusting and balancing a plus, but not required.
