Position: Equipment Maintenance Technician 1 - 2nd Shift

The 2nd Shift Equipment Maintenance Technician 1 role is a challenging opportunity for an individual interested in providing skilled general maintenance duties to include maintenance for machines, building and property with help and/or oversight from more advanced Mechanics.

Shift

Hours:

Monday through Thursday morning, 1:30 PM - 12 AM

Pay Rate: $26.44/hour + shift differential

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Limited electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation of motor controls, fuses and circuit breakers, PLC'S, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and install complex machinery using air, hydraulics, motors, bearings, etc.
  • Fabricate production equipment, fixtures, support frames, benches, shelving, etc. Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
  • Schedule and perform detailed preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment including SMT placement equipment, wave solders, selective solder, etc., Follow manufacture recommended procedures to successfully keep our equipment in world class condition.
  • Limited repair and installation of pipes and plumbing that carry gas, water, vacuum, air or misc. hydraulic oils.
  • Limited repair and installation of electrical wiring in facility for low voltage
  • Repair and improve facility grounds and equipment.
  • Maintain production and facility equipment including detailed cleaning, painting, replacing worn parts, and calibration.
  • Document all work in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Qualifications/Must Have:

  • 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Broad mechanical/electrical background with familiarity in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
  • Willing to obtain MN Special Engineer Boiler License or greater within 1 year of employment.

Additional Success Factors:

  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred
  • Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (1-3) years
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT placement, wave solders, and selective solder equipment.
