As we continue to scale our global platform, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician will play a critical role in sustaining and optimizing high‑mix industrial printing and promotional product manufacturing operations.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports manufacturing and distribution operations by performing equipment setup, operation, routine and preventative maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities across production areas. This role combines mechanical aptitude, hands‑on machine operation, and exposure to automation and prepress processes — including prepress and programming functions, color management, AutoCAD and other drafting, safety improvement integration, and jig and fixture design — to drive safety, efficiency, and operational excellence in a high‑mix, low‑volume industrial printing and promotional product manufacturing environment.

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI‑enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)

  • Teach and train production staff on how to operate and optimize equipment, including setup procedures, maintenance routines, and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring operators are equipped to perform at their best.
  • Partner with the Maintenance team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on digital and mechanical equipment, and provide technical training and assistance to Maintenance Technician roles as needed.
  • Work independently or collaboratively to support rapid problem‑solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and the documentation of process map visuals and job aids.

Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)

  • Support Production Management in assuring all equipment and processes are functional and efficient, making or arranging corrections, adjustments, and repairs as required to keep production on schedule.
  • Operate equipment during setup, testing, troubleshooting, and high‑demand periods to ensure timely and high‑quality output of products that reach fans worldwide.
  • Run a variety of tests — including color profile, print quality, time study/throughput, material qualification, and consumable testing — to uphold the quality standards fans expect from officially licensed merchandise.
  • Assist in developing measurements for optimal equipment utilization and quality control, directly contributing to a consistent and exceptional fan product experience.

Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)

  • Learn and utilize a variety of software programs including AutoCAD, Fusion
    360, Adobe Creative Cloud, SWITCH, Print Factory, and other RIPs to support prepress, programming, and workflow automation.
  • Build and install jigs, fixtures, and other productivity‑or‑safety‑enhancing solutions, applying a diverse fabrication skillset including lathe, vertical mill, drill press, surface grinder, and welding.
  • Learn and assist with automation solutions across both digital workflow and physical process, supporting the organization’s advancement toward a more automated manufacturing environment.
