Position Summary:

Delivers and picks up parts and equipment from customers and vendors in a safe and timely manner. Assists the parts and service departments and provides timely shipment of orders and parts check-in.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Delivers to and picks up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores,wholesale accounts, vendors and service technicians.

Coordinates pick-up and deliveries when needed from internal customers (parts manager, body shop, wholesale representatives, inventory, parts counter people,shipping/receiving).Verifies that invoices match purchase orders and payments are received for eachpick-up when applicable.

Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring to obtain customer signature on each delivery entry.

Acts as liaison between parts sales and customer.

Communicates specials and promotions to customers.

Unloads truck each night.

Basic truck maintenance (filling gas tank, checking oil, keeping it clean, ensuring required inspections are performed) and advises Parts Manager of any major repair sand/or maintenance needed

Assists with inventory stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery toshop technicians and wholesale accounts.

Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.

Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company process and standards.

Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incoming parts.

Compare parts received against packing lists to verify accuracy of shipments received.

Move heavy items with the help of forklifts, pallet jacks and wheel trucks

Negotiate shipping rates with freight companies and couriers.

Inspects forklifts daily and schedules maintenance and repairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED ADDITIONAL:

Safe driving record required

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Must pass DOT physical and drug screen

Must have the ability to travel throughout assigned route

Must have flexible schedule (overtime is unpredictable and unavoidable)
