Job Title

Loads merchandise and materials to ensure appropriate weight, composition and placement of the load so that it is balanced, flagged and safe for hauling within DOT guidelines. Checks orders for accuracy by verifying against the shipping papers. Loads truck utilizing a forklift and ensuring all loads are tied down and safe for delivery. Delivers and unloads materials to customer's satisfaction providing excellent customer service and obeying all traffic safety rules and safe driving habits.

Perform required pre-trip inspections. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil & water. Records all merchandise returns and completes all necessary paperwork associated with delivery & returns. Assists with unloading material returned for credit to the proper location. Relays messages to Yard Operations Manager/Dispatcher sent by customers while on the job site. Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in the yard and warehouse.

Assists Customers, supervisors and other employees while truck is being loaded. Cooperate with others and work as part of a team by helping each other out. Taking pictures of all job site deliveries and returns. Working as part of a team to ensure all deliveries are pulled, loaded, and delivered to customers. Keeps truck clean and free of debris. Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to read and follow directions. Computer and technology skills appropriate with business administration (MS Office products and basic computer operations). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms. Knowledge of road restrictions, DOT inspections and load securement requirements. 6 months Commercial driving experience preferred, Current CDL license. Forklift experience.

6 months commercial driving experience. (Preferred). Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.

Class B driver's license with Air Brakes with clean MVR. DOT Medical Card required. Class A Driver's license a plus.

Salary Range: USD $24.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
