Every year, the Community College of Vermont (CCV) employs dozens of part‑time faculty to teach courses at 12 locations statewide and online. All faculty positions are part‑time, with instructors able to teach one to three courses per semester. Qualified candidates are placed in a candidate pool; when teaching opportunities arise, they are contacted for interview.
Job OverviewCCV is Vermont’s second‑largest community college. It serves more than 10,000 students annually across multiple locations and extensive online offerings. The mission is to support and challenge students to meet their educational goals through access, affordability, and student success. This role supports that mission by delivering undergraduate mathematics courses.
Teaching Responsibilities• Teach upper‑division and lower‑division mathematics courses, including:
- Foundations of Math
- Math & Algebra for College
- Intermediate Algebra
- Applied Math Concepts
- Finite Math
- College Algebra
- Pre‑Calculus
- Statistics
- Calculus I and Calculus II
• Deliver instruction for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Qualifications- Master’s degree required.
- Graduate coursework or experience relevant to the above mathematics subjects.
- Demonstrated ability to teach online and in‑person settings.
- Scheduled hours: 0 (part‑time)
- Budgeted wage: $4,365 per 3‑credit course.
