Overview
VHB is seeking an entry level Structural Designer to join the established and growing Structures group in our Winooski, VT office. We are a dynamic, vibrant, and innovative team on the cutting edge with model-based bridge design. Join us and be part of delivering interesting and challenging bridge projects in Vermont and New England.
Responsibilities- Perform design and detailing of a range of bridge types
- Perform inspections and load rating of vehicle, pedestrian, and railroad bridges
- Perform bridge scoping studies and alternatives analyses
- Utilize Bentley Open Bridge and Open Roads software to prepare 3D designs for projects
- Calculate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates
- Develop construction contract documents and specifications
- Perform design and detailing of a range of bridge types

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
- 0-1 years of structural engineering experience
Salary:
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Vermont is $72,. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
