Stratton Aviation is seeking a hands‑on, systems‑savvy Financial Controller to help scale a fast‑growing global aviation business. This is a critical leadership role responsible for building and running a high‑performing, audit‑ready accounting function that supports international growth, complex inventory flows, and tightly integrated financial systems.
The Controller will lead core accounting operations while owning the integrity and performance of integrations between Stratton’s custom ERP and its financial systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys improving systems and processes, and wants to make a visible impact.
What You’ll Do- Lead global accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, and month‑end close
- Deliver accurate, timely consolidated financials in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Own accounting policies, balance sheet integrity, and audit readiness
- Serve as the business owner for ERP‑to‑finance system integrations, ensuring data accuracy, controls, and scalability
- Drive continuous improvement in close cycle time, working capital KPIs (DSO/DPO), and automation
- Strengthen internal controls and support audits across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, sales, and technology teams
- Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing global accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting
- Deep experience with ERP systems; custom or highly configured systems strongly preferred
- Background in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or asset‑intensive environments a plus
- Proven ability to improve processes, systems, and financial KPIs
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑growth, international environment
- A predictable, well‑controlled month‑end close
- Stable, well‑monitored ERP‑to‑finance integrations
- Measurable improvements in working capital and close‑cycle metrics
- A confident, scalable accounting team
- Clean audit outcomes with reduced remediation effort
