Part-Time Day Shift Security Officer

Morning/Day Shift Security Officer – Essex, Vermont

Part‑time, day‑shift security officer responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets at client facilities. Remuneration is $20.70 per hour.

• 25 hours per week:
Fridays 8:00 a.m.‑5:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 a.m.‑4:00 p.m.

• No prior security experience required; growth opportunities available.

• Monitor security cameras and conduct patrols to detect suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Enforce access‑control policies, verify identification, and issue visitor passes.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents; report or elevate incidents to law enforcement when appropriate.
• Document incidents and suspicious activity in clear, accurate reports.
• Perform safety inspections for fire risks and other hazards.
• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting visitors and employees.
• Handle minor disputes using conflict‑resolution skills.
• Collaborate with security staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

• Excellent observational and de‑escalation skills; composure under pressure.
• Strong communicator, capable of working across global and local teams.
• Commitment to ethical practices and safety protocol compliance.
• Intermediate computer skills.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Reliable means of transportation and communication.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
