About the Role As a Children's Support Worker, you'll be a vital part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive space for children. Your day-to-day will involve:
Offering compassionate support to children with diverse needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, autism, and learning disabilities. Helping children develop essential life skills and boost their overall well-being. Putting care plans and behaviour management strategies into action, tailored just for them. Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for everyone. Keeping accurate records of progress, incidents, and observations - the details matter!

Working hand-in-hand with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure the best holistic care. Responding to challenging behaviours with patience, professionalism, and a whole lot of understanding. Upholding the highest standards of care and championing all safeguarding policies and procedures. What You'll Need To be our next superstar Support Worker, you'll ideally have: A valid full driving licence and a reliable vehicle for getting around the North East.

Essential experience working in Residential Children's Homes and supporting children who have experienced childhood trauma. Flexibility to travel up to an hour to Gateshead, Sunderland, Newcastle, or Durham, and availability for both day and night shifts. A commitment to working at least 3 shifts per week. Proof of your Right to Work in the UK. Up-to-date mandatory training certificates, PMVA training, and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Competitive pay: £15.35 per hour for Day shifts (08:00 - 20:00) and £16.88 per hour for Waking Nights (20:00 - 08:00). A flat rate of £57.02 for Sleep-in shifts (following a specific pattern). 1 year minimum experience in the UK as a support worker

Skills:

Childcare experience, patience, and empathy are key! Professional Knowledge:
Child protection and behaviour management are essential.

Qualifications:
