Overview
The Surgery RN is under the supervision of the OR Nurse Manager, Nursing Managers and Chief Nursing Officer. The surgery nurse is responsible for the assessment, monitoring, care, and safety of the patient while in the OP, PACU and OR. He/she anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. The surgery nurse admits, treats, and discharges and transfers the patient during the entire period while the patient is in the surgical suite.
Qualifications- Education
:
Graduate from accredited School of Nursing - Experience
: 6 months clinical experience and recent clinical experience - Experience in OR Circulating
:
Preferred - Specific Skills
:
Nursing - Computer Skills
:
Moderate Computer skills and EMR required - Licenses
:
Current or Compact RN License - Certifications
: BLS required upon hire; NRP, ACLS, PALS
