Job Title & Compensation
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or LVN) - Sign‑On Bonus $5,000.
LocationWinslow, AZ (Arizona Department of Corrections).
Job OverviewNaph Care is hiring LPNs and LVNs to work in the Arizona Department of Corrections - Winslow. These professionals provide healthcare to incarcerated individuals. Pay rates range from $32.00 to $34.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience. The role includes physical assessments, medication administration, chronic illness management, and emergency response within a controlled environment where security is top priority.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, interviewing patients about health problems and medication history.
- Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Provide wound care, including cleaning and bandaging.
- Administer medications, including injections, and monitor patient reactions.
- Maintain medical records, entering information into the electronic health record system, Tech Care.
- Observe patient health and mental health status.
- Provide emergency first aid.
- Provide patient education and discharge/release planning.
Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Actively state certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA required).
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and adhere to a Code of Conduct and all facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Pass facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Capabilities:
- Stand for long periods, lift and move patients up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR.
