Job Summary
The Epic Application Analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and support for integrated workflows of the OpTime/Anesthesia modules. The Epic Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. Employee will be required to travel to support all OR locations.
Essential Functions- Understand and adheres to the WPH Performance Standard, Policies and Behaviors.
- Perform design, build, testing, maintenance, and support of Epic OpTime/Anesthesia modules, including third party integrations.
- Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support by troubleshooting and managing reported issues as they arise until resolution.
- Execute assigned projects and tasks within the specified time frame and on budget.
- Proactively monitor and evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system; assist with identifying areas of optimization and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with end-users to gather and interpret user requirements to assist with designing and proposing optimal solutions.
- Facilitate IT rounding meetings with department for service line initiatives, ticket prioritization, project updates, etc.
- Act as a liaison to the end-user for vendor support or Montefiore Einstein Technology support as needed to assist with complex issues until resolution.
- Perform coordination of vendor activities including device integration testing, hardware or software installation, etc.
- Execute system changes in accordance with IT Change Management Process; including creating test plans and documenting all outcomes of testing; obtaining appropriate approvals, etc.
- Provide daily (and go-live) end‑users support and training on EPIC applications, modules, and functionality.
- Write and maintain accurate documentation of workflow for supported Epic applications; and disseminate material to users.
- Create reports utilizing report-writing tools.
- Understanding of third‑party integrations and vendor relationship management is a must (SPM, Track Core, etc.)
- Participate in policy and procedure development as it relates to security, downtime, backup operations and disaster recovery activities.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor Degree Preferred 1-3 years
- At least 3 years of application related experience
- Required application testing experience
- Third‑Party integration experience
- Related clinical or business experience
- Strong communication skills
- Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Provides excellence in customer service under all circumstances
- Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and its potential for improving department and interdepartmental efficiency
- Epic certification required in OpTime (anesthesia certification a plus). Preferred
