The position is an Operating Room Administrative Assistant at Central Prison Health Care Complex (CPHC) in Raleigh, which houses approximately 1318 close‑custody male offenders.
Employees will work in the CPHC operating room. CPHC consists of a 216‑bed Mental Health Hospital and a 120‑bed Acute Care Hospital.
Responsibilities- Perform general administrative tasks related to medical office practices and procedures.
- Review, verify, complete, record, and/or balance records, reports, and figures.
- Order medical supplies and track inventory.
- Use NCAS and E‑Procurement systems.
- Interact with medical providers, vendors, and hospital staff.
- Prior experience in an administrative role in a medical office, hospital, urgent care, or institutional setting.
- Experience evaluating, ordering, and maintaining supplies in a medical setting.
- Documented experience using general office accounting and bookkeeping.
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Range$31,200 – $51,249
Type of Position- Full‑time (40 hours per week) with State benefits.
