Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $ Annually
Job SummaryThe Contracts Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts between Horizon Strategies and commercial government entities, ensuring strict compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and internal policies.
Duties/Responsibilities- Create and review contracts, to ensure they align with legal requirements, company policies, and government regulations.
- Carefully analyze contract language, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with government agencies and other parties to secure favorable outcomes for our company.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of government contracting regulations, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to relevant federal regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), as well as company policies.
- Stay current with changes in regulations, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, to include execution, modifications, performance monitoring, and closeout or renewal, to ensure smooth operations and timely deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure contract obligations are met.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams and other stakeholders on contract-related matters, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
- Advise and assist the Vice President, Finance, in the supervision and management of all company contracts.
- Assist, as requested, the Business Development and Capture Management team in the development and submission of proposals by providing subject matter expertise in the evaluation of solicitation documents from a contracts perspective.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with government agencies, internal teams, and other stakeholders, and to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite to efficiently manage contract-related tasks and documentation, and to create clear and compelling reports and presentations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and requirements as needed, and collaborating effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and functional areas.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting, preferably in the space and defense industry, with a proven track record of success in managing complex contracts and negotiations.
Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification is highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise in government
