Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our Crane & Rigging and Construction operations. This individual will oversee the planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of heavy lift and rigging projects across a variety of industrial construction environments.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry
, strong project management capabilities, and a technical background in engineering, construction management, or a related field. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage complex projects, communicate effectively with clients and field personnel, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Manage crane and rigging projects from initial planning through project completion
- Develop lift plans, project schedules, manpower requirements, and equipment needs
- Coordinate with clients, superintendents, operators, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope, logistics, access, and safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices
- Monitor project progress, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Prepare project estimates, proposals, and change orders as needed
- Participate in project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify and resolve operational or logistical issues in real time
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, efficiency, and project execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of project management experience in industrial construction, crane services, heavy rigging, or related industries
- Understanding of crane operations, rigging practices, heavy lifting, or industrial shutdown/turnaround projects preferred
- Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering documents, and lift plans
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Ability to work in fast-paced industrial and construction environments
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience supporting refinery, manufacturing, power generation, pulp & paper, steel, or industrial plant projects
- Engineering background or prior experience working alongside engineering teams
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, lift planning software, or engineered lift calculations
- NCCCO or crane industry knowledge is a plus
