Superintendent - Civil Construction

A leading civil contractor is looking to add an experienced Superintendent to its growing team in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro market. With a strong pipeline of roadway and heavy civil projects across the Triad, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor offering long-term stability and career progression.

As Superintendent, you'll be responsible for leading field operations across roadway and heavy civil construction projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards. You'll coordinate closely with project management, field crews, subcontractors and project stakeholders throughout construction.

• Oversee day-to-day field operations across roadway and heavy civil construction projects.
• Lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors and onsite personnel.
• Manage roadway construction activities including grading, paving, drainage and associated infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules and coordinate daily production requirements.
• Monitor project progress, productivity and performance against schedule and budget.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, engineers and project stakeholders throughout construction.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain high standards of jobsite safety and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project productivity.
• Coordinate equipment, materials and manpower requirements across active projects.
• Maintain accurate daily reporting and communicate project progress to the wider project team.

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience within roadway, heavy civil or closely related civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of grading, paving, drainage and associated roadway infrastructure.
• Experience leading field crews and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, schedules and field operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple field activities while maintaining safety, quality and production standards.

• Base salary up to $150,000 DOE.
