Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals Project Manager
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Project Manager to oversee structural steel fabrication and miscellaneous metals projects from contract award through completion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing fabrication, detailing, scheduling, subcontractors, customers, and project financials while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Manage structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from start to finish
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate with estimators, detailers, fabricators, field crews, customers, and general contractors
- Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, and overall profitability
- Track material procurement, fabrication, delivery, and installation
- Review shop drawings and coordinate RFIs and submittals
- Communicate regularly with customers and project stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues as they arise
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements
- 3+ years of project management experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or related construction
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and/or erection
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
