Wake Forest University School of Medicine is recruiting a Movement Disorders faculty neurologist to join one of the nationally leading programs in Movement Disorders, known for innovation in complex clinical care, pioneering use of neuromodulation technologies, and high‑impact research. Our program is at the forefront of deep brain stimulation (DBS), high‑intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), and other advanced therapeutics that are reshaping the field.

Faculty collaborate across neurology, neurosurgery, biomedical engineering, and imaging sciences to bring the latest science directly to patients—while also contributing to multicenter trials and practice‑changing research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive care to patients with Movement Disorders, focusing on timely access and effective treatment.
  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct assessments to determine suitability for surgical interventions such as Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound.
  • Collaborative Work: Work collaboratively with the Movement Disorders program faculty, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neuropsychiatrists, and therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Clinical Research: Engage in and contribute to the clinical research trial program, with opportunities to expand the program in the field of Movement Disorders.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board eligibility or certification in Neurology
  • Fellowship training in Movement Disorders
