Overview
Physician (Hospitalist) position located in the Department of Medicine at Fort Liberty, NC. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110‑bed, evidence‑based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.
Womack is in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I‑95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year‑round. Many facilities and services are offered such as first‑class golfing venues and renowned universities, a skeet range, riding stables, ice skating rink, state‑of‑the‑art fitness centers, daycare, star‑quality dining, full‑service banking, convenience shop, barbershop, and florist.

Responsibilities- Serve as Physician (Hospitalist) in the Medicine Inpatient Service, responsible for the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the full range of inpatients seen in the hospital.
- Perform a wide range of medical duties covering general internal medicine and consultation for general and subspecialty surgical services.
- Examine patients, order and evaluate the full range of radiology and laboratory tests, make diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment to include oral and intravenous drugs, nursing care, and therapeutic dietary interventions.
- Serve as a member of the Department of Medicine Medical Education Committee as a Key Clinical Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
- Provide medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes.
- US Citizenship required.
- Board Eligible/ Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine.
- Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
