Novant Health Surgical Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible urologist to join their established team providing inpatient care in a Urology Hospitalist role. The position is inpatient only performing consults, procedures, surgeries, and assisting in the management of inpatients from the office‑based group. No clinic responsibilities. Alternating 7 on/7 off block schedule with an average patient volume of 30 patients between rounding and consults.

No overnight call. Practice is supported by system‑wide EMR‑EPIC and provides easy access to robotics.

• Inpatient Urology service is a consultation only service and the inpatients are admitted by the medical hospitalist service
• FMC is a 900‑bed hospital with ~100 ED beds, > 120,000 ED visits annually
• Position is currently supported by APPs
• Position is supported by dedicated OR block time

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine, required
• Completion of an accredited residency program, required
• For specialty physicians – completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current MD license in appropriate state
• Board certification or eligibility
• Current DEA license required
