Description of WorkThis position will provide customer service and organizational support to the Regulatory Services Section, Policy, Planning, and Training Unit. The employee will operate in a high‑production, high‑pressure environment. Major responsibilities include:
- Customer service, answering questions from the public
- Supporting training activities
- Organizational tracking for unit activities
- Additional tasks assigned by the Program Manager and Supervisor
Salary Range: $39,244 - $68,679
Recruitment Range: $39,244 - $45,524
Applicants who possess the following preferred skills:
- Working knowledge of the NC Child Care Rules
- Experience managing multiple phone lines and email inboxes
- Experience working in NC Licensed Child Care
- Proven ability to streamline processes and create tracking tools to provide an innovative approach to planning
- Experience managing electronic files and hard copy files
This position is 100% federally funded.

Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE)DCDEE implements quality standards for child care and increases access to families and their children across North Carolina. NCGS 110‑85 requires that the State protect children in child care facilities by ensuring that these facilities provide a physically safe and healthy environment where the developmental needs of the children are met and where these children are cared for by qualified persons of good moral character.
