Elementary School Teacher (Grades K-5) – Full-Time, Part-Time & Substitute Job Summary

Carter G. Woodson School is seeking passionate and dedicated elementary school teachers for the  school year. We are looking for educators who are committed to fostering academic growth, character development, and student engagement in a supportive learning environment.

• Develop and implement engaging lessons in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, aligned with NC state standards.
• Utilize differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with exceptional needs.
• Create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes academic success and personal growth.
• Incorporate data-driven instruction to monitor and support student achievement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong school partnerships.
• Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• NC teaching license is highly recommended, but not required.
• Experience in elementary education and classroom management preferred.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Carter G. Woodson School.
