Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary
The Part-time Spanish Language Instructor will provide engaging, face-to-face introductory Spanish lessons (e.g., SPA 111, SPA 112) that focus on speaking, reading, writing, listening and cultural nuances. The primary need is to offer 16 weeks of instruction for our Stokes Early College students at our Stokes Center in Walnut Cove, NC.
Minimum QualificationsRequired:
- Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
Note:
Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc.
- Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
- Construct, administer, and grade examinations.
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
