Job Description:The Department of Politics and International Affairs invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the subfield of American Politics with a focus on environmental politics. We welcome applicants who approach this topic from a variety of methodological and theoretical orientations, such as interest groups, social movements, and public policy. The position begins July 1, 2027.

Qualifications:
An earned Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field is required for the position; ABD candidates are invited to apply. Qualified applicants will demonstrate their ability to teach an introductory American politics course as well as upper-level environmental politics courses and other courses that connect with their research and complement subjects already represented among American politics scholars in the department, initiate and sustain original research and scholarship in their area(s) of expertise, and contribute to an academic environment that fosters learning and growth for all its stakeholders.
