Faculty Support Specialist – Academic Affairs

Winston-Salem State University ( WSSU ) is committed to fostering academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. The Office of Faculty Affairs ( OFA ) plays a central role in supporting the development of a distinguished and vibrant faculty that contributes to a thriving academic community at WSSU . In partnership with faculty and administrators, the OFA oversees key areas such as faculty recruitment, appointments, tenure and promotion, and academic leadership development.

The faculty is the core of the university, and the OFA is dedicated to addressing the diverse needs of all academic units in alignment with WSSU’s mission to promote student development through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at this historically Black institution within the University of North Carolina system.
