Salem Montessori School is hiring part time classroom assistants for the school year. Salem Montessori School seeks mature, dependable, adults who have experience working with children and are movtiated to learn about and implement the Montessori pedagogy. We are looking for assistants across all program levels; toddler, children's house and elementary. Part time morning and afternoon positions available.

Advancing Dr. Montessori's vision is the heart of Salem Montessori School's mission. Our Montessori trained administrative team and dedicated teachers create an environment that aligns with the Montessori pedagogy and a school culture that is supportive, inclusive and joyful. Salem Montessori School teachers work collaboratively to nurture and inspire our children. All of our teachers attend regularly scheduled meetings and school events.

Salem Montessori School began 26years ago when founder Julie Smith wanted to create a Montessori learning environment for her children in partnership with other interested parents. From modest beginnings in Julie'’s home basement in 1998, to church buildings, and a children's museum in between, Salem Montessori School opened a new, purpose built space in the fall of 2023. From one classroom, Salem Montessori School has grown to offer three toddler classrooms, two children's house classrooms, a kindergarten classroom, two lower elementary classrooms and one upper elementary class.
