Position: Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance (R0009091)

Description

The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for an advanced Assistant (i.e., at least three yearspost PhD) or Associate Professor of Finance. (Candidates whoare recent PhD graduates or have fewer than three years of post-PhDexperience will not be considered.) The intended start date isJuly 1, 2027, or as negotiated. Ideal candidates will have exceptional records in teaching and scholarship and will be expected to publish unequivocal top-tier and high-quality academic research as well as teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance in multiple modalities.

Preferred candidates at theadvanced Assistant Professor level will have at least one financepublication in an FT50 outlet plus several other high-qualitypublications, in addition to a strong pipeline of working paperswith some under review and/or at the R&R stage. Preferred candidates at the Associate Professor level will have severalfinance publications in FT50 outlets plus several publications inhigh-quality outlets, in addition to a strong pipeline of workingpapers, several of which are under review and/or at the R&Rstage.

Candidates should have a PhD (or its equivalent) in Financeor a related field from an accredited institution and be able toprovide evidence of prior teaching effectiveness. The position offers a highly competitive package of compensation and benefits.
