Position Summary:

Winston-Salem State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Transfer and Adult Student Services. The Assistant Director of Transfer and Adult Student Services will provide leadership for transfer recruitment, community college partnerships, transfer and adult learner programs and events, graduation services, transfer articulation, academic progress, and operational improvement. This position plays a significant role in advancing WSSU's transfer enrollment strategy by developing strong recruitment pipelines and sustainable partnerships with community colleges and other transfer-serving institutions.

The Assistant Director works collaboratively with Admissions, the Registrar's Office, Academic Affairs, academic departments, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, community colleges, and other internal and external partners.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Transfer and Adult Student Services include:
Provide leadership for the development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive programs and events for prospective and enrolled transfer students and adult learners. Oversee staff, services, policies, and programs that enhance the experience of non-traditional students, including transfer student, adult learners, readmits, and other students with unique educational backgrounds. Develop an annual calendar of transfer and adult learner recruitment, transition, engagement, retention, and degree-completion programs.

Coordinate signature recruitment events such as Transfer Preview Days, Transfer Open Houses, Instant Decision Days, community college recruitment events, adult learner information sessions, and other enrollment-focused programs. Build relationships with community colleges, workforce…
