Exceptional Children's Teacher/TVI | Up to $45/hour | Winston-Salem, NC | Full-Time |  School Year This position is for Exceptional Children's Teachers who are interested in becoming Teachers of the Visually Impaired.

Position Details Full Time, 1.0 FTEFor the  school year, for the entire school year

What You’ll DoProvide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in alignment with their IEPsConduct functional vision and learning media assessments to guide instructional planning

Adapt materials into accessible formats such as braille, large print, and tactile graphics

Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student access and success

Support development of independence, assistive technology use, and compensatory skills

What We’re Looking For Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in Visually Impaired (or area of Exceptional Children's Teaching)
Must have scheduled Praxis Exam scheduled for NCDPI TVI license

What You’ll DoDevelop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects

Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment

Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation

Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs

Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning

What We’re Looking ForMUST HAVE: NCDPI License in Visually Impaired (or area of Exceptional Children's Teaching)
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
