THE ROLE:
The Engineering Manager, Projects / Staff Equipment Engineer (Engineer Level
4) will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. Will support engineering projects in a multi-functional environment. This involves adapting and applying engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, and constructing or modifying machines and mechanisms for blending, packaging, and warehousing operations. This role will analyze machine operations, collect and report data, prepare materials and perform tasks to modify machines and processes for better operation.
Will be responsible for working on new projects created by the engineering team, attend meetings, and streamline activities with other departments to complete projects in a timely manner.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
* Assist in the development, arrangement, assembly, installation and commissioning of process and packaging equipment lines.
* Propose, measure, analyze, design, evaluate and implement best improvement options for machines, processes and mechanisms.
* Coordinate with suppliers to furnish parts and equipment to specification as needed.
* Work with in-house manufacturing and contract manufacturers to ensure that the process and packaging systems and procedures provide consistent operating conditions and the safety and integrity of finished products.
* Identify and solve problems with both components, materials and machinery processes in coordination with Quality, Production, Operations, Maintenance, vendors and OEMs.
* Draft protocols and execute packaging line and process capability trials in support of commercial deployment of systems.
* Support validation/qualification line work, including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ & PQ, at HLF facility or outside partners to ensure machinery and processes meet all requirements.
* Develop SOPs to ensure processes consistently meet all required operating standards for processing and packaging and.
* Work in partnership with HLF Manufacturing, Technical Operations and R&D in order to effectively scale up new formulations, and to specify processing equipment which is compatible with new formulations and the Manufacturing strategy of HLF operations.
* Research innovative technologies to promote the Herbalife 'Build it Better' culture, or apply equivalent experience.
* Capture and institute engineering standards based on learnings from previous projects for use in future Herbalife Manufacturing projects.
* Additional duties as assigned

* Technical skills with the ability to understand formulations/process/procedures.
* Ability to frame and solve practical problems, carry them to conclusion and communicate results professionally and effectively in written and oral form.
* Proficient understanding of mechanical and automation systems and how they function. Experience solving issues with mechanical systems
* Proficient in reading technical blueprints, schematics, mechanical and electrical drawings
