This group functions as an internal engineering consulting group supporting our manufacturing operations by designing and implementing automation used to run machines and processes across a variety of capital and manufacturing projects. Your overall roles and responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a senior technical leader on complex automation and controls projects, defining architecture, driving technical decisions, and supporting implementation from concept through startup.
- Design and develop robust automation systems that provide significant competitive advantage to our businesses and enable new products and product lines.
- Interface with internal R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams involved in the innovation and manufacture of new products and machine systems across our businesses.
- Integrate commercially available technologies and effectively leverage external machine builders and system integrators to execute capital and manufacturing projects.

- Support projects through all phases of execution: design, build, installation, commissioning, and startup.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering Technology required.

- Strong experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems; hands‑on programming experience with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley required; familiarity with Siemens and/or Omron a plus.
- Experience leading controls scope for automation or capital projects, including working with or directing system integrators, OEMs, machine builders, or contractors.
- Familiarity with Factory Talk View, Optix, Ignition, or iFix; knowledge of Ether Net/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, or similar industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with PID controls, motion control, robotics, or machine vision; familiarity with Fanuc or ABB robotics preferred.
- Strong communicator; self‑motivated and effective in collaborative, cross‑functional environments.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically in support of project installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a growth‑driven team supporting major automation and capital initiatives across new capabilities, factory expansions, and automation implementation. The role offers broader ownership than a traditional site‑based controls position, with exposure to the full project lifecycle from design, build, installation, startup, and commissioning.
It's an opportunity to work with a leading global innovator company with technologies spanning life sciences, mobile consumer electronics, optical communications, display, automotive, and solar industries.
This position offers an industry-leading overall compensation and benefits package including a competitive base salary, annual bonus + LTIs, 401K & pension benefits, and comprehensive healthcare and wellness plan. A relocation package is also provided for this position.
