Site Solutions Team Lead
HDR is looking for a Site Solutions Team Lead to assist with site due diligence and site selection in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a background in a variety of areas, including land development permitting, utility coordination, site design, and land use planning.
In the role of Site Solutions Team Lead, we'll count on you to:
- Support a variety of projects including due diligence and supporting work for data centers, industrial sites and power facilities.
- Have experience in zoning hearings and be able to present projects and represent HDR in a professional manner. Client interaction is an integral part of the position.
- Lead site visit in field reconnaissance of projects with other HDR staff and clients.
- Coordinate with multiple internal teams is required on each project.
- Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be proficient in civil engineering concepts such as topographic design, land development standards along with state and municipal review processes.
- Have an interest in working on a variety of projects and be able to coordinate between multiple groups and have excellent communication skills.
- Be familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and lead team members in creating preliminary concept drawings with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications: 10 years' technical and/or field experience in complex site civil and/or environmental planning projects. Experience with local planning organizations and the ability to present projects in quasi-judicial proceedings. Ability and interest to work on various types of projects and perform multiple roles depending upon the project need. The position will require up to 20 percent travel based on clients schedules.
Experience with data center development. Site Due Diligence background. Land development background. Experience creating erosion control plans.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
- A minimum of 5 years environmental experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities
