Job

MUST HAVE 7+ years’ experience in Equipment and/or Processing Engineering or related Engineering manufacturing environment.

MUST HAVE 5 years' experience in acGMP or other regulatory environments:
Food/Dietary/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical.

MUST HAVE Experience leading facilities projects: overseeing planning, design, construction, and maintenance of physical assets to ensure they are functional, safe, and efficient, including: managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations for renovations, system upgrades, and space reconfigurations in a manufacturing environment.

MUST HAVE Knowledge of materials/process/equipment (i.e. characterization/effect on manufacturing environment)

MUST HAVE Mechanical aptitude, understanding equipment and operation functionality to establish/challenge/optimize run rates/productivity

Engineering Manager, Projects / Staff Equipment Engineer

Overview Seeking an experienced engineering manager to support process and packaging equipment projects at a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing and innovation facility. The role involves designing, testing, modifying and commissioning machinery and systems for blending, packaging and warehousing operations; analyzing machine performance and process data; and coordinating cross‑functional activities to deliver projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development, assembly, installation and commissioning of process and packaging equipment lines.
  • Propose, measure, analyze, design, evaluate and implement improvements to machines, mechanisms and processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure parts and equipment to specification.
  • Collaborate with in‑house and contract manufacturing teams to ensure consistent operating conditions and product integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve component, material and machinery process issues with Quality, Production, Operations, Maintenance and OEMs.
  • Draft and execute protocols for packaging line and process capability trials to support commercial deployment.
  • Support validation and qualification activities (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) at internal or partner sites to verify machinery and process performance.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure consistent adherence to operating and quality standards.
  • Research and recommend innovative technologies and engineering practices to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
  • Capture lessons learned and establish engineering standards for future projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong mechanical and automation systems knowledge; experience diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
  • Familiarity with formulations, processing and packaging procedures.
  • Ability to define and solve practical engineering problems and communicate results clearly in writing and orally.
  • Proficient reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe.
  • Experience managing small projects independently to meet budget, quality and schedule targets.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and organize workload effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and collaborating across diverse teams.
Preferred
  • Prior experience in process/packaging equipment commissioning, validation activities and supplier coordination.
