Position: Financial Business Director-1

Job Description Summary

As a team member in Finance at Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company with nearly $70 billion in annual sales, the opportunities are endless. It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, Arizona. This position will be hired on a Success Flex basis. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following locations:
Scottsdale, AZ;
Columbus, OH;
Des Moines, IA.

Work schedule:

2 days in office, 3 days remote.

  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Vice President/Officer. Manages a team of four or more financial professionals.

Typical Skills and Experiences

Education: Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree in a financial field is desirable. Technical insurance coursework desirable.

License/Certification/Designation: CPA preferred.

Experience: Typically ten or more years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, insurance or administrative business functions, with at least five years of management level experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, financial statement preparation, budgeting and financial analysis techniques; facility with GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial service business requirements. Thorough knowledge of administrative policies and procedures.
