Brock & Scott, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented intern to support Finance and Accounting through process documentation, business analysis for acquisition support, and special projects. The intern will work with Finance leadership and process owners to organize information, analyze data, document workflows, and assist with integration activities.
Key Responsibilities- Document and organize processes, work instructions, policies, procedures, and process maps.
- Meet with process owners and subject matter experts to understand current processes and controls.
- Assist with project tracking, and other CFO-sponsored initiatives.
- Support mapping of vendors, customers, processes, systems, and other data needed for transition planning.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors, including coordinating reviews, and tracking completion.
- Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities.
- Handle confidential or sensitive information in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to learn additional business and documentation tools.
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently, ask appropriate questions, and collaborate professionally across functions.
Preferred Experience:
Coursework or experience in accounting, data analysis, process improvement, or project management.
Experience preparing reports, reconciliations, process maps, documentation, or presentations.
Interest in finance operations, acquisitions, vendor management, and accounting systems.
Learning OpportunitiesExposure to Finance and Accounting operations in a professional-services environment.
Hands-on experience with acquisition due diligence, vendor analysis, onboarding, and integration support.
Practical experience in process documentation, data analysis, internal controls, and continuous improvement.
Opportunity to support cross-functional initiatives led by Finance leadership.
The intern will work under the direction of designated Finance and Accounting leadership and in coordination with assigned process owners. Priorities, timelines, and deliverables may be adjusted as business needs and acquisition activities evolve.
