Business Connect focuses on delivering Truist to a segment of Commercial Community Bank clients through a virtual delivery environment, providing for an easier method of contact, expertise, and servicing. The Business Connect Specialist II will serve as primary contact for service requests in partnership with the Business Care Team and other support or operations teams, and ensures client service levels are exemplary.

The Business Connect Specialist II will also provide coverage (as needed and/or delegated) for Specialist Team Leader responsibilities, which may include team management, mentoring and meeting leadership. The Business Connect Specialist II is responsible for exhibiting key behaviors that align with Truist Code of Ethics and support risk management culture, exercising sound judgment and executing assigned responsibilities with integrity and honesty.

• Align with and embody Truist’s purpose, mission, value statement and the Business Connect value proposition of “Ease, Expertise, Care”
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills: clear, concise, calm and confident conversationalist
• Address service needs and manage intake of requests, leveraging solution process and partners
• Maintain expected processing times for tasks in a fast-paced environment, follow-up as needed to ensure the client’s experience is always taken into consideration
• Initiate or execute client onboarding which may include more complex relationships and/or structures, new product and solution set up, and compliance activities, including monitoring risk reporting to ensure compliance and through to completion
• Identify referral opportunities through service interactions and sales thought leadership
• Participate as an integral member of the Business Connect Squad, supporting the delivery of exceptional client service and experience
• Maintain close partnership with Business Connect Advisors, Integrated Relationship Management partners, operational partners, and support center teams
• Escalate concerns promptly to their leader for awareness
• Maintain subject matter expert level of understanding as it relates to client onboarding or client request completion requirements, including but not limited to Know Your Customer requirements and other due diligence process and procedures
• Support Business Connect Specialist teams as delegated or in the absence of a Specialist Team Lead, potentially including team management, mentoring and meeting leadership tasks
• Adapt to technology enhancements swiftly and support guiding clients on new digital solutions
• Mentor less experienced teammates and provide guidance or act as subject matter expert as appropriate
• Comply with all operational, risk and learning requirements
• Meet/exceed designated performance metrics

• Two or more years of related financial services or business banking experience
• Treasury operations and/or Credit operations experience
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills with clients, teammates and other internal partners
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• High School Diploma

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
