This full-time Financial Advisor role with licensing provided is an on-site position based in Winston-Salem, NC. The Financial Advisor will meet with clients to assess their financial goals, analyze their current financial situation, and create tailored plans covering areas such as retirement, investments, insurance, and wealth management. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting financial analyses, presenting recommendations, managing client portfolios, and following up regularly to review and adjust plans as circumstances change.
The role involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, staying informed about market trends and financial products, and complying with regulatory and company standards. Advisors will collaborate with team members and leverage Northwestern Mutual’s training, tools, and support to grow their practice and serve clients effectively.
- Strong foundation in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory to develop and present comprehensive financial strategies.
- Knowledge of Finance and Investments to analyze markets, recommend solutions, and manage client portfolios.
- Experience or interest in Retirement Planning to help clients prepare for long-term financial independence.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills to build trust-based, long-term client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred; comparable experience considered.
- Ability to work on-site in Winston-Salem, NC, with strong time management, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Comfort with business development activities, including networking and prospecting; prior sales experience is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and ongoing professional learning; relevant licenses or certifications are beneficial, with licensing support provided.
