Cardiothoracic Surgery Nocturnist- NP​/PA

Overview

APP (NP/PA) - Cardiothoracic Surgery Nocturnist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Inpatient role within the Heart and Vascular Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

What You ll Do:
As a PA/ACNP, provide team-focused patient care in an inpatient setting with rotating 12-hour night shifts (7 pm–7 am), 13 shifts per month. Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations and collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, explain procedures to patients, perform procedures per department guidelines, and participate in basic science and clinical research projects.

May precept students and/or medical learners. Uphold the mission, values, and cultural commitment of the organization. Other related duties as assigned.

Note:

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their licensing board with departmental credentialing from the institution.

Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program;
  Master s Degree preferred
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA
• Minimum of two years of APP post-graduate inpatient cardiovascular or acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master s Program;
  Master s degree or higher required
• Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
• Board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC
• Minimum of two years of APP post-graduate inpatient cardiovascular or acute care experience
• Prior nursing experience in a cardiology environment preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required

Pay Range
: $50.05 - $75.10 per hour (or appropriate equivalent cited in original context)
