Clinical Practice Specialist – Novant Health

Join us as a Clinical Practice Specialist to develop and direct a standardized clinical education curriculum and evidence-based nursing care standards for our identified patient population. The role supports Critical Care departments and requires travel across all Novant Health regions.

• Develop and direct standardized clinical education curriculum.
• Implement evidence-based nursing care standards for identified patient populations.
• Support Critical Care departments.
• Travel across all Novant Health regions as required.

• Education:
  
  Graduate Degree required;
  PhD required;
  Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD or enrolled in a DNP or PhD program with completion within 1 year.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of three years of clinical practice in a specialty area.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current RN licensure in appropriate state; RN professional certification in relevant specialty.
• Additional
  
  Skills:
  
  Current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; teamwork, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; effective classroom presentation style; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills;
  
  understanding of customer needs and expectations; knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; knowledge of research and evidence-based practice methodologies and analyses; ability to write effectively.
