Radiation Therapy Technologist – Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston Salem, NC)
Employment Details
- Full time
- 40 hours per week; weekdays (day shift, occasional late shifts)
Compensation
- $38.20 – $57.30 per hour
- Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 (eligible if eligibility requirements met)
- Relocation assistance up to $5,000 (for qualified candidates)

Winston Salem, North Carolina - Schedule:
Day shift, weekdays (occasional late shifts)
- Associate’s Degree in Radiation Therapy (required)
- Registered & Certified as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the ARRT, or deemed registry eligible and able to sit for the certification exam
- Valid CPR Certification – BLS
- Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist
- Work closely with the medical team to review images and port films for patient set‑ups, selection of treatment devices, and verification
- Perform daily quality assurance (QA) on equipment prior to treatment and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records
- Maintain patient appointment schedule and ensure proper charge capture for treatments
- Perform conventional and CT simulation, block cuts, custom immobilization, and monitor‑unit (MU) calculations in absence of a dosimetrist or physicist
- Conduct various patient positioning and transport duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling while using proper technique
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to patient age and developmental status, and apply department policies for age‑specific care
- Knowledge of treatment planning and techniques
- Knowledge of record‑and‑verify system, radiation oncology equipment, and electronic medical record systems
- Ability to learn and apply complex radiation therapy principles; adaptability to instrumentation and technique adjustments
- Competent with general radiation equipment
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of electronic health records
- Excellent interpersonal skills with physicians, staff, patients, and families
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
