Experience:

• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

• ASN completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Will accept first-time traveler dependent on experience. Must have a strong background in MST.
• ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels, and experience reading telemetry strips
• Chest tubes, traches, PIV starts, drain & tubes, PCA pumps
• Gtts management – Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, Heparin

• 0700 start.
• Weekend Rotation:
  Every other
• Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: Float to other Med Surg units.

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - 1 required for submission
