Description Of WorkThis position works the second shift, Sunday - Thursday, 3:30 pm–Midnight and directly supervises some second- and third-shift staff, as well as a weekend staff member. The position is responsible for coordinating safe staffing levels for residential services in collaboration with the Center Director. Thus, the Residential Life Coordinator hires and maintains a pool of temporary staff and substitutes who can provide short‑notice coverage when other options are not available.
Ensuring the safety of buildings and participants is also a critical part of this role, including coordinating fire drills; orienting new students to safety protocols; identifying and responding to building maintenance concerns; and being available to participants who may present with a variety of concerns.
Key Responsibilities Of The Position Include- In coordination with the Center Director, ensure adequate coverage during all hours that residential services are offered
- Hire and maintain a small pool of temporary staff to cover staff absences; when adequate staffing cannot be secured, provide third‑shift coverage as needed
- Interview candidates and make recommendations for hiring permanent staff
- Onboard new staff and provide supervision and coaching to existing staff
- Complete timely reviews of staff work plans in accordance with policy
- Encourage participants to reach their maximum potential by offering assistance when needed while allowing individuals to complete tasks independently when assistance is not required
- Facilitate opportunities for participants to apply classroom lessons in real‑life settings
- Oversee residential safety and maintenance by coordinating regular fire and other safety drills; orienting staff and students to safety protocols; identifying and responding to building maintenance concerns; and being available to participants who may present with a variety of concerns.
- Report participant progress and concerns to Center management, Center Counselors, and others as applicable; complete detailed written incident reports
- Assess residential supply and equipment needs
- Monitor student attendance and track absences within residential settings
- Ensure transportation is available for community activities and in the event of an emergency

Salary Range: $37,377.00 – $65,408.00
Recruitment Range: $37,377.00 – $58,401.00

Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working in a residential setting.
- Experience developing written records.
