The Technology Associate will deliver technical support to Omega Construction employees and support the IT Manager in various projects and initiatives as required.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role requires on-site presence in our Winston-Salem office and is not remote.
Responsibilities:- Provide first-line support to Omega Construction employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, printers, cell phones, and other devices.
- Install and maintain software for end users.
- Procure hardware and software at the direction of the IT Manager, other members of Omega Construction’s management team, or external IT partners.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up devices and creating user accounts.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software, and licenses.
- Produce and maintain training materials and other documentation at the direction of the IT Manager, other Omega Construction management, or external IT partners.
- Respond to IT inquiries from Omega employees and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
- Maintain a helpful and approachable demeanor to provide a positive experience for all staff.
- Assist the IT Manager with implementation of security policies to manage IT risks effectively.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to IT security and data protection.
- Assist the IT Manager with KnowBe4 campaign creation and management.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assist the IT Manager with potential proposals for improvements or upgrades, supporting initiatives that align with the company’s needs and goals.
- Assist with other IT-related projects as needed at the direction of the IT Manager.
- Occasionally assist with other company projects at the direction of other Omega Construction management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in helpdesk, IT support, or similar role preferred.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
- Problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Occasional overtime may be required to handle urgent IT issues or support special projects.
