Senior Software Engineering Manager

• Lead Home Lending Servicing Customer communication domains and Line release related applications across four or more scrum teams
• Manage, coach, and develop experienced engineers and engineering managers
• Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional release requirements
• Partner with architects and experienced engineers on technical strategies, domain architecture, cloud readiness, application modernization, and data strategy
• Represent the product in cross-team collaboration and planning
• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks involving code, build, and deployment
• Support scrum masters and teams with escalations, impediment removal, learning, experimentation, and continual improvement
• Build engineering skills in the codebase, conduct peer reviews, and guide design
• Ensure security, stability, and scalability while managing technology and enterprise risk
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners on user satisfaction, technology requirements, product roadmaps, innovation, and technical strategy
• Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers
• Manage people and financial resources
• Hire, develop talent, and conduct performance management for engineers and managers

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience
• 3+ years working in large enterprise environments
• 3+ years of Agile experience
• 3+ years managing geographically diverse leads across multiple locations
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• 1+ years of experience using AI tools to efficiently deliver business value
• 1+ years of Agentic AI experience designing and deploying LLM-powered agents using tool/function calling, human-in-the-loop controls, error handling, and monitoring/observability within secure, governed enterprise architectures
• Alignment with responsible AI, data privacy, and risk controls
• Experience with customer communications technology stacks, including letters management lifecycle
• Experience with case management and workflow technology stacks
• Experience implementing and managing vendor solutions
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, application development and design, and cloud-based service topology
• Knowledge of the financial services industry
• Ability to manage large or multiple technology development efforts
• Experience working with IT Governance, Controls, and Risk partners
• Ability to manage resources and drive efficiencies and innovation
• Knowledge of SRE principles
• Ability to manage complex technology infrastructure functions and cross-functional projects
• Ability to work on-site at an approved listed location

Demonstrates extensive experience in Software Engineering and leadership within large enterprise environments, focusing on Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and managing geographically diverse teams. Proficient in driving technology strategies, ensuring adherence to security and risk controls, and fostering innovation through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
